Dr. Elisa Xiao

Born in Beijing and grew up in Vancouver, Dr. Elisa Xiao completed her undergraduate studies at the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Immunology. She went on to pursue a Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago and graduated with Magna Cum Laude Honours. She was also part of the Tomb & Key Honours and Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honours Societies, and was a student fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. 
 

As part of her professional studies, Dr.Xiao provided primary, pediatric, and specialty contact lens care at the Illinois Eye Institute, co-managed refractive and cataract surgeries with ophthalmologists in Mishawaka, IN, managed advanced ocular disease at the Battle Creek VA medical center in Battle Creek, MI, and gained valuable experiences in the area of myopia control at the Wenzhou Medical College in China.  

Dr.Xiao is a member of the British Columbia Association of Optometrist, the Canadian Association of Optometrists, the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control, and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD).
